A dedicated and highly motivated Risk Claim Engineer with experience in multiple engineering and construction projects including; Transportation, Rail, Airports, and PM/CM. Customer focused and well organized with excellent business skills and a reputation for partnering with other project team members to optimize efforts and deliver successful projects
Cotton Belt Regional Rail, Dallas Texas --- Program consists of approx. 26 miles of rail transit with tunnels and 11 stations.
Experience Level: Minimum 5 years
Reports to the Project Controls Manager
Rail rapid transit experience strongly desired with emphasis in Trackwork, Systems Communications and Traction Power
Familiarity with project management and construction terms.
Proficient in data entry requiring attention to detail.
Look for trends cost/schedule/productivity
Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written with all members of Project Team.
Proactive and inform management of any potential risk to project schedule, budget and cost
Proven ability to work effectively within groups and to complete assigned tasks independently.
GENERAL TASK ASSIGNMENTS
Schedule/coordinate Risk Assessment meeting with project manager and project team.
Support Project Controls team in preparation of draft Risk Assessment report.
Flag any potential risk and identity on risk register. Have a regular meeting with project team to go over risks on the risk register and its mitigation
Update Risk Register or load Risk Register to Primavera.
Attend Risk Assessment Meeting on an as needed basis.
Prepare Risk Assessment Package (Scope, Plans and Drawings) and support documents prior to Risk Assessment Meetings.
Ensure all support documents and final reports prepared by Risk Engineer are in designated
Maintain and update Risk Assessment Planning Matrix.
MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES
Typically, three- five (3-5) years’ experience in Infrastructure projects, Procurement and Construction in the field of Project Cost Engineering for a candidate possessing the below educational preference
Ability to follow direction with limited supervision.
Bachelors or equivalent degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
