The mission of a Technician for HVJ, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to support the project manager or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications and company guidelines. This includes responsibility for Level III technician:
Perform testing and/or inspection as assigned and evaluate test results to communicate with onsite client representative
Document work performed as appropriate on field test forms provided and if required, calculate test results
Provide support to Project Manager as directed, take lead on required testing on assigned project
Perform duties in a safe, cheerful, efficient and workman like manner. Maintained effective communication with client representative when required or instructed.
Possess minimum High School Diploma, relevant college education or degree or associated degree is preferred
Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples as a routine part of the job.
Ability to tolerate year round outdoor work
Valid Texas Driver’s License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses. Current defensive driving certificate required or should be able to obtain before starting the work

HVJ is able to utilize the skills of personnel in all offices to provide a specific service to their clients and meet their schedule. Typically HVJ addresses local project needs in the local office, but if additional support is needed HVJ can provide services from other offices to meet project schedules.
