CH2M’s Orlando, Florida office is looking for a highly motivated roadway/transportation project manager to support roadway and rail studies and designs.
Candidate skills should include good oral and written communications, strong organizational skills, and have team-oriented work practices.
The essential functions for this position include: • Supervise and lead engineering design tasks consisting of roadway horizontal and vertical alignment design, production of plans and documentation of design elements in reports for planning, Project Development and Environmental Studies, preliminary engineering to support client request for proposals, and final designs. • Background with MicroStation and Geopak software to develop project roadway and rail designs and produce design plans. • Serves as Engineer of Record and provides technical guidance to technicians, designers and other engineers for the development of final plans do ensure conformance with design intent and state and federal design standards. • Lead report and design projects including subconsultant coordination • Conduct project meetings between CH2M staff, subcontractors and clients. • Manage and supervise the development of technical specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages for roadway design projects. • Provide Quality Control reviews of roadway designs and plans packages prepared by other engineers to ensure compliance with current state and federal design standards. • Assists business development activities including the development of project design approach, writing technical proposals and developing/presenting oral presentations. • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested, which may include field activities such as observation of construction activities; review of construction submittals for conformance to contract and design documents; risk reviews, and other routine assignments requiring knowledge and application of engineering principles and team leadership. • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited civil engineering program • Florida Professional Engineering (PE) License, or ability to obtain a Florida Professional Engineering • At least 15 years of experience in the transportation engineering field
