The Port of Oakland is currently recruiting for the position of Port Supervising Engineer (Civil Work).The Port Supervising Civil Engineer functions as a first-line supervisor directing the activities of a group of professional engineers and engineering technicians.This position entails both field and office work and requires extensive knowledge of the department’s goals, objectives and policies.
The minimum requirements include graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor of science degree with a major in civil engineering PLUS two (2) years of professional civil engineering experience at the level equivalent to the Associate Engineer at the Port and at least two years of lead or supervisory experience. Requires a Certificate of Registration as a professional civil engineer issued by the State of California.
