Posting Summary: The University of Virginia's Behavioral Health & Technology group (https://med.virginia.edu/bht/) in the School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences is seeking a creative Senior Software Engineer to lead efforts in developing and maintaining web-based applications for a growing number of medical and behavioral health conditions. This position will function as a program developer for web-based programs with responsibilities overseeing the planning, design, programming and implementation of these programs. We are seeking a skilled software engineer to help build the next generation of "Internet interventions."
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Programming or other related field. Relevant experience (13 years) may be considered in lieu of a degree. The Successful candidate must have a minimum of five years of web application development experience. Experience includes at least 3 years working on software development teams (2+ developers). Skills obtained during coursework may be considered in lieu of work experience.
This position is restricted and contingent upon continuation of grant funding.
