Jones Edmunds, one of ENR's top 500 design firms has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Representative.  The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years experience in the consulting field with at least 7 years' experience in the A/E field managing client relationships or marketing A/E services.

The Business Development Representative seeks out new clients as well as business partners. The position has a heavy emphasis on building new relationships to include new markets, as well as developing relationships with other firms to partner with on projects. The Business Development Representative spends at least 70% of his or her time out of the office meeting with clients and potential clients to develop new business and enhance client relationships. The Business Development Representative will be accountable for establishing and maintaining sales call routines, contacting and further vetting the target sales list, maintaining monthly contact with potential key accounts, and building effective client relationships. This position coordinates with Managing Directors and champions the Company, its management, and initiatives. This position is the primary contact for potential new clients of Jones Edmunds.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Marketing Responsibility

•  Generate leads that result in $1 to 5 million in annual client contracts or bookings.
•  Develop annual sales plan, establishing goals, objectives, strategies, and budget requirements for developing new business from new clients.
•  Meet booking targets with fees resulting in profitable jobs.
•  Exhibit sales and marketing behaviors consistent with Company values.
•  Establish relationships with potential clients.
•  Develop new client relationships through office visits and other communication channels.
•  Coordinate with associates to produce exceptional proposals, presentations, and client relationships.
•  Input, monitor, and update marketing opportunities.
•  Present information to clients and co-workers.
•  Represent Jones Edmunds at community and industry events to present a professional and positive image.
•  Represent the Company and all its services in the marketplace.
•  Use excellent judgment at all times 
•  Perform duties and travel outside of the office a minimum of 70% of the time. 

Management Responsibility

•  Engage with associates to further their client services development.
•  May mentor Client Service Managers.

Quality Program Responsibility

•  Assume responsibility for the quality of their work submitted.
• Hold team members and reviewers accountable to the Jones Edmunds standard for quality.
•  Provide consultative value to clients.
