Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Floor Care Duties: Dust mop; spot cleans and vacuum carpet, interior and exterior mats; sweep floors; mop halls and classrooms; spot damp mop; vacuum entire traffic area; vacuum carpet areas; damp mop floor surface; cleans and maintain all floors in assigned area by Top scrubbing, buffing and refinishing during school breaks and as directed by supervisor. Clean snow and debris from entrance daily.
Bath / Locker/ Shower Room Duties: Dust partitions, ledges & other fixtures; clean mirrors & spot clean surfaces and all chrome surfaces; spot clean walls; using appropriate chemicals for Bathroom and/or Locker Room cleaning. Clean commodes, urinals & lavatories with appropriate chemicals and/or disinfectants; replenish paper towels, soap, tissue in restrooms, locker rooms, showers. Empty waste containers, and wipe with disinfectant. Maintain an APPA level 2 cleanliness rating.
Classrooms / Labs: Dust partitions, ledges & other fixtures; clean mirrors. Clean blinds and interior/exterior windows; clean entrance door glass and other glass. Empty waste containers and recycling containers clean receptacles, clean door knobs, kick plates, panic bar assemblies; clean and/or dust heat/ventilation louver vents; clean chalkboards, whiteboards & associated trays. Clean and disinfect desk top surfaces, i.e. Pencil and/or pen markings. Desks and/or chairs should be left in an orderly fashion for class. Maintain an APPA rating of 3 or higher.
Entrances/ Hallway/Stairwell: Dust partitions, ledges, walls & other fixtures. Empty waste containers and recycling containers clean receptacles. Clean door knobs, kick plates, panic bar assemblies; clean and/or dust heat/ventilation louver vents. Clean blinds and interior/exterior windows; clean entrance door glass and other glass. Dust mop; spot cleans and vacuum carpet, interior and exterior mats; sweep, mop floors, stairwells, entrances, clean snow and debris from entrance daily; clean hand rails and banisters. Maintain an APPA level 2 or higher rating.
Office Duties: Dust partitions, ledges & other fixtures; clean mirrors. Clean blinds and interior/exterior windows; clean entrance door glass and other glass. Empty waste containers. Clean door knobs, kick plates, panic bar assemblies; clean and/or dust heat/ventilation louver vents, sweep, mop, vacuums floor. Maintain a level 2 or higher APPA level.
Housekeeping closet/Stocking supplies/Locking and/or unlocking exterior doors: Keep housekeeping closets/areas clean and neat; supplies stored neatly and in an accessible order; maintain proper supply levels to ensure availability. Maintain a 90% average on closet audits. Keep equipment clean and in proper working order.
Request all work order for the replacement of light bulbs, tubes, and supplies through area supervisor.
Unlock and lock building doors at designated times as informed by scheduling sheets or scheduled assignment. Close and lock windows as needed. Pick up and deposit assigned keys to and from key box.
Cleaning experience in an industrial setting. Microfiber and green cleaning experience.
