The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) invites applications and nominations for a faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Construction Management and Infrastructure Engineering.
We are particularly interested in candidates with interest and expertise in areas such as (a) transformational construction process and advanced construction technologies including 3D printing, data-driven simulation, big data analytics, internet of things, building information modeling, and intelligent structures, or (b) sustainable building science including human occupancy modeling and simulation, indoor air quality performance analytics, novel infrastructure materials, and the broader energy policy implementation.
Salary is nationally competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Review of applications will begin November 1 and will continue until the position is filled.

Earned doctorate in Civil Engineering or closely related field at the time the position is filled
Research and teaching interests in Construction Engineering and Management
Demonstrated record of publishing in high quality academic journals
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
Must be eligible to work in the US
Demonstrated record of research funding.
Registration as a professional engineer or ability to become registered
Ability to develop relationships with ORNL and exploit the outstanding opportunities for interaction with the laboratory
Establish and maintain a productive, externally funded, scholarly research program.
Develop and teach courses in the applicant’s discipline
Participate as appropriate in established courses offered by the department
Provide service beneficial to the institution, the profession, and the public
