Posting Summary: The University of Virginia's Behavioral Health & Technology group (http://med.virginia.edu/bht) in the School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences is seeking a creative Senior Software Engineer to lead efforts in developing and maintaining web-based applications for a growing number of medical and behavioral health conditions. This position will function as a program developer for web-based programs with responsibilities overseeing the planning, design, programming and implementation of these programs. We are seeking an experienced software engineer to help build the next generation of "Internet interventions."

Required Minimum Level of Education: *Degree or Equivalent Experience Required
Required Specific Degree/Training: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other related field, or Equivalent Experience Required.
Required Minimum Level of Experience: Considerable - 4 to 7 years
Required Specific Experience: A minimum of 5 years web application development experience is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 1. Ability to create and manage web applications 2. Ability to design and build web user interfaces 3. Ability to create and manage databases and reports 4. Ability to perform basic linux server set-up, configuration, and management 5. Ability to use git for software version control 6. Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems 7. Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
Preferred Computer Applications: Experience with RSpec, Git and Github, and AWS is preferred.
