Hudson County Community College is an award-winning, comprehensive urban college with two campuses located just minutes from Manhattan in Jersey City and Union City, NJ. The Journal Square campus sits at the center of Journal Square in the center of Jersey City, next to a major PATH station and transportation hub, while the Union City campus sits adjacent to a vital light rail station.

The College is currently searching for a full-time Executive Director for our Secaucus center. Under the Supervision of the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs, the Executive Director of the Secaucus Center provides vision, leadership, and operational management of the HCCC’s Secaucus Center presence. The Executive Director develops and implements a strategic plan for programs and services offered through the Center including but not limited to credit and non-credit instructional programs, high school dual enrollment, and student support services. The Executive Director will be responsible for providing leadership and for the College’s outreach—in collaboration College stakeholders such as Enrollment Services and Continuing Education and Workforce Development—to Secaucus and surrounding communities.
Minimum of a Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited university required. Minimum of three years administrative and/or teaching experience, preferably in a community college. Broad and comprehensive knowledge of the comprehensive community college, including understanding of best practices and trends in curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Demonstrable record of program-level leadership and substantive contribution to college-wide committees. Ability to think conceptually, define and execute strategic goals, develop and implement policies and procedures, and make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments; exceptional verbal and written communication, organization, and prioritization skills; effective interpersonal skills, influence and negotiation skills required; strong computer proficiency and ability to understand and communicate data; ability to interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituencies in a multi-cultural community required.
