Coordinator of Engineering Science – Associate Professor / Professor of Engineering Science
The Department of Physics and Engineering Science at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for the position of Associate Professor or Professor of Engineering Science. This is a tenure track position beginning Fall 2019.
We are seeking an engineer who will lead the development of the curriculum and future direction of the growing Engineering Science program at CCU. Specifically, candidates with backgrounds in mechanical or civil engineering are preferred. The program’s primary focus is the education of undergraduates, and the successful candidate should be a teacher-scholar and establish a research agenda that incorporates students. Start-up funds will be available to establish a research agenda that incorporates undergraduate students. The university’s Smith Science building has just completed a $6.5 million renovation that will include over 1,600 square feet of shared research space.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
