ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Principally develops, maintains, enhances, and tests systems of the highest complexity. May lead or coordinate the efforts of various teams, implement various dependent systems, or lead / implement corporate wide technology initiatives.
Serves as the primary technical point of contact on client engagements of the highest complexity and of critical value to the organization. Coordinates efforts of multiple teams.
Performs or oversees the investigation and resolution of complex and critical data, system, and software issues in the production environment
Oversees all production databases and persists in maintenance and management.
Liaises directly with clients on strategic engagements.
Liaises directly with strategic partners on system and data integration.
Performs or oversees the specification and design of new features at client or business request.
Performs or oversees the evaluation of new platforms, tools, and technologies.
Designs, develops, and maintains internal algorithms and tools.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
10 years of experience or equivalent skills in writing secure software with modern languages
3-4 yrs. of experience acting in a software development team leadership role
Experience with two or more RDBMS, one of which must be Postgres
Experience with NoSQL datastores including ElasticSearch, and Redis
Experience designing, and implementing APIs
Containerized development, and serverless development both containerized and FaaS
Thorough understanding of unit, and functional testing
Experience with one or more clouds. At least one of which must be AWS, or Azure.
Experience integrating with third party systems via APIs
Multiple backend development frameworks, one of which must be Ruby on Rails
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field of work or equivalent work experience.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
Experience developing microservices
GraphQL API development
Directory services like AD, and LDAP
Experience with ServiceNow's REST API
DevOps, and automation tooling
Deploying software into Kubernetes, and Kubernetes orchestration
Experience or understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc...)
