The Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is inviting applicants for a full-time position as an abdominal imager at the Assistant or Associate Professor level on our Clinical Track. This is an opportunity to practice high quality, patient-centered imaging with dedicated colleagues in a stimulating and supportive environment. Our radiologists work closely with Yale specialists to provide cutting-edge, multidisciplinary care for patients. With continued growth and expansion, this is also an opportunity to lead the development of our high-quality ambulatory care-center practices.
The Yale School of Medicine is a world-renowned center for biomedical research, education, and advanced health care. New Haven has been home to the university for three centuries. With a population of 130,000 residents and measuring approximately 20 square miles, New Haven is “large enough to be interesting, yet small enough to be friendly.” As a center for business and a mecca for the arts, the city is recognized for its innovation and culture, with great restaurants and a wealth of activities for families and single professionals of all ages. New Haven is also conveniently located between New York and Boston, and both are easily accessible due to the area’s robust rail transit system.
Applicants must be fellowship trained in body imaging and have a primary interest in ultrasound. Additional proficiency in CT, MRI and fluoroscopy is also required. Interested applicants should be board certified or eligible and must be eligible for licensure in the state of CT. As a faculty member on the Clinical Track, no scholarly output is expected but clinical excellence and service development successes can be used for promotion. A commitment to teaching residents and fellows is required. Leadership roles and other opportunities for professional development are also available depending on the applicant’s interests, goals, and experience.
