The Enterprise Web Developer II, under the general direction of the Enterprise Web Developer III, will support the University's web presence, including, architecture, navigation, policies, standards, coordination, evaluation, and programming. The Enterprise Web Developer II will work closely with Marketing and Communications to support and develop Gonzaga's intranet, websites, web applications, and to manage competing priorities. The Developer will, on an on-going basis, research emerging Internet technologies and implement those deemed important to the development of the University’s web system. The Developer will work closely with all University groups involved in web development and usage to build an excellent web presence that furthers the University's mission.
Four-year college degree or commensurate, demonstrable experience in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Systems Management, or related field;
Minimum of five years of experience developing, creating, and maintaining web systems content using the tools described above (strong preference will be given to someone with experience developing in a higher education environment);
Demonstrated experience writing web-based applications to link databases to web clients;
Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience meeting the needs of a diverse range of individual and group users of web systems;
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with limited guidance and supervision;
Candidates will be asked to demonstrate their experience as web developers by exhibiting current samples of web systems they have created. (A personal computer and access to the Internet will be provided to all interview candidates – candidates may also bring electronic samples on disk for local display.)
