Our Diamond Vision Division (DVD) is seeking a Technical Sales/Estimation Associate to support the Diamond Vision Division sales channel. You will identify and qualify leads, prepare product and project cost estimates, develop sales proposal documentation, and assist with addressing technical aspects of sales opportunities. This position is based in our Headquarters in Warrendale, PA (near Pittsburgh).
Over the years, the Diamond Vision Systems Division has expanded to sell products in both the sports market and the commercial market place including the Las Vegas and Times Square markets. The newest generation of products will see an expansion into the retail and broadcast markets. The Diamond Vision Systems Division has managed some of the largest projects in the industry and won many awards including 6 Guinness World Records and an Emmy for pioneering development of large-scale display technology.

Identify, research and qualify web leads and other prospects by analyzing inquiries for budget, functionality, technical requirements and other criteria.
Maintain a database of leads and formulate market and lead reports as requested.
Prepare product and project cost estimates. Recommend profit margin and pricing.
Obtain cost estimates from subcontractors for required subcontract work and equipment.
Attend, participate in and present technical material in pre-bid and post-bid meetings.
Create sales proposal materials, including the creation and preparation of proposal documentation, literature, bid bonds, pre-qualification forms, the scope of work documents, etc.
Consult with MELCO overseas marketing and local suppliers as needed during proposal development.
Create, prepare and present sales presentation materials. Analyze the needs of the prospective client and oversee internal and external resources to develop technical and market information for effective presentation materials.
Oversee “project turnover” process. Ensure sales set-up and actual sales numbers are reflected in MEPPI business system.
In conjunction with other department personnel, organize and coordinate participation in trade show and industry conferences. Participate as required to ensure the division is appropriately represented.
Plan activities and travel to maximize the effectiveness of travel budget.
Develop relationships with and support efforts of designers, consultants, and architects involved in LSVD industry.
Maintain DVD membership documentation for industry associations.
Support and assist the Regional and National Sales Manager as needed, to include inside support of field sales staff.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, marketing or business, plus minimum of five years’ experience in sales/support to include project estimating or equivalent education and experience.
General knowledge of general construction, electrical or A/V systems.
Developed written, verbal and presentation skills.
Developed negotiations skills and familiarity with estimating and negotiating processes.
Developed computer skills with emphasis on MSOffice applications and business systems.
Ability to climb ladders, enter enclosed spaces, and work in high places and outdoors at project sites as required.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% as required.
