The University of Missouri - Columbia is seeking a Programmer Analyst.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Maintain and enhance existing applications and databases per customer requests or best practice procedures to ensure a continual working product.
Develop/build databases in accordance with the custom applications mentioned above. Oracle and MySQL database development.
Work with customer requests (as part of a team) to translate them into technical specifications for development. Assist with workflows, timelines, and general planning of the request. Collaborate with other programmers on the project.
Setup and maintain Linux OS, Apache Web server, backups and versioning. Utilize tools, utilities and appliances to assist in efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required. Entry level requires less than one year experience in general computer programming and relational database development. Specialist level requires at least two years experience in an IT related position working with web application development (programming) and relational database development. Experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for required education.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred experience with MySQL and Oracle databases, as well as Ruby on Rails programming language/platform. Knowledge of Git/GitLab, Docker, and other server utilities/appliances desired, as well.
