We're looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Principle Automation Engineer that is seeking a position with the global leader in commercial real estate services. This candidate has the experience necessary to lead a team tasked with the automation of critical components within the Global Cyber Security Office (GCSO) operating environment and troubleshoot problems as they arise. The ideal candidate for this position can prioritize mission critical tasks and coordinate the construction and expansion of the GCSO solutions so updates and other maintenance tasks don't get in the way of daily operations. We're interested in automating as many of our processes as possible to reduce the potential for human error.
The Principle Automation Engineer is responsible for leading a team tasked with the design, development, testing and implementation of Automation Workflows throughout the products and services provided by the Global Cyber Security Office for Enterprise consumption.
Building self-service UI backend APIs, including necessary integration, and automation with multiple systems
Developing with modern frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, and Vue.js
Collaborate with internal security team members, to further the DevSecOps team goals of outreach, and simplification of interaction with business development teams
Have well founded opinions and be willing to express your disagreement when something doesn't pass the 'smell test' for you.
May perform performance reviews, review merit and promotional recommendations with direct reports
Manage and execute delivery against product and project roadmaps.
Design, develop, test, and implement Automation Workflows throughout the products and services provided by the Global Security Office.
Develop, create, maintain, and write/code new (or modify existing) applications, software, or specialized programs.
Provide technical support for the automation workflow functionality provided as needed.
Work across teams to deliver cyber security services and best practices for Enterprise on-premise and cloud-based solutions globally.
Stay current on new technologies and act as driver of innovation for the Enterprise.
Partner closely with horizontal teams to ensure alignment between security
control frameworks, deployed technologies, and desired vs achieved outcomes.
Actively participate in strategic discussions with Information Security leaders.
Partner with Governance teams for continual review, enhancement, and execution of compliance requirements
Assist group managers, supervisors, leads with prioritization of work, resource loading and goal establishment and attainment
Must have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent work experience. Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes.
Typically has 7 - 10 years of relevant work experience.
5-7 yrs. of experience or equivalent skills in writing secure software with modern languages
3+ yrs. of experience acting in a software development team leadership role
Experience with two or more RDBMS, one of which must be Postgres
Experience with NoSQL datastores including ElasticSearch, and Redis
Experience designing, and implementing APIs
Containerized development, and serverless development both containerized and FaaS
