The Talent Acquisition Partner will oversee the full-cycle recruitment and selection process for UMF positions and development positions across the U of M. As a strategic partner to our leaders and hiring managers, this position will lead initiatives to improve all aspects of the recruitment and selection process with a focus on attracting and retaining a diverse talent pipeline.
Occasional travel may be required, in addition to occasional attendance at evening or weekend events.
What you’ll do:
Consult with UMF leadership to identify strategic direction, workforce needs, and search opportunities.
Develop and implement recruitment and selection strategies for UMF positions and development positions across the U of M.
Advise and collaborate with UMF and development leaders and HR staff across the U of M on recruitment, selection, and integration of new employees. This includes providing input on interview process, search committee, compensation, etc.
Develop network of industry contacts to identify and source quality talent. Build and maintain relationships with prospective candidates and build a diverse pipeline of talent.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, human resources, or a related field.
Minimum of five years’ experience in human resources with a focus on talent acquisition.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and recruitment and selection practices and standards.
Knowledge of an applicant tracking system/Human Resources Management System (such as PeopleSoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated customer service orientation with high energy and work style that positively engages others.
Excellent research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with strong customer service orientation.
Strong interpersonal skills to interface with supervisors/managers, employees, and candidates and network with industry colleagues.
Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail to prioritize support for a multifunctional work group, successfully meet deadlines, and adapt to unexpected changes.
