Union: 00 - Non Union, Exempt or Temporary
Bachelor's degree, or at least four years of experience in the field of computer science preferred
Experience with machine learning and/or statistical modeling in research settings.
Must have experience with:
Designing systems for scientific research users or data analysts designing databases
One or more frameworks for web development (e.g. Django, Flask, Express.js, Rails)
Familiarity with cloud computing deployment (e.g. AWS, Google Compute Engine, Azure)
Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes for cloud deployment
Experience with a large data store with many user accounts, for example, a repository for scientific data, or a curated collection of datasets for machine learning
Experience with metadata descriptions of datasets
Experience collaboratively integrating systems with tools built by other teams
Experience with encrypted storage and encryption in transit
Some knowledge of statistical computing in some language (e.g. Python, R, Julia, Scala, etc.)
Familiarity with a research environment
Understanding of the workflow of applied quantitative scholars, and/or data scientists
Ability to work effectively in a small team and with remote collaborators
Experience with Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration
Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor
Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and equipment
