Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with at least one modern MVW Toolkit (Django, Rails, NodeJS, Spring, etc.) in a modern programming language (Java, Python, Ruby, Scala, JS)
Experience building Internet-facing applications and maintaining cloud-based IaaS environments
Experience building and maintaining API platforms (REST or web services
Experience as a full-stack software engineer with an emphasis on backend and database access
Experience with permissions-based object-level access control
Experience with federated authentication (OAuth or SAML)
Experience with version control systems and team software development (preferably Git)
Proven large scale software application development
Experience working in an agile environment (daily standups, accountability for own tasks, talking to a business owner
Experience in managing large volumes of data (1 PB+ or Billions of objects)
Experience operating independently with attention to detail a must
Ability to consistently meet all deadlines for deliverables or activities
Some experience in academia or healthcare including familiarity with HIPAA and other HHS healthcare regulations
Minimum two years' additional post-secondary education and/or relevant work experience
Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and equipment
Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor
