B.S. degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field; Minimum of two years’ work experience within the Quality Assurance field, preferably in a manufacturing environment; excellent communicative, organizational, and computer skills. To be intimately familiar with Heiden’s Quality Management System.
2.0 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Serve as quality management system representative, ensuring that the quality management system is documented, implemented and effectively maintained according to ISO 9001 requirements; stay abreast on industry/national/international developments within the quality assurance field; serve as contact with external sources on quality management system issues (i.e., customers, suppliers, consultants, registrar).
2.2 Support Heiden’s quality policy through compliance with quality management system requirements, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
2.3 Control and maintain quality system documents including Quality Manual, Quality System Procedures, Work Instructions, and Quality Forms.
2.4 Ensure that customer-specific quality and documentation requirements and identified, communicated, and fulfilled.
2.5 Maintain calibration system, including gage/test equipment identification, recall, and record-keeping system.
2.6 Serve as coordinator of corrective and preventive action systems, including the prompt investigation/ resolution of internal nonconformities, supplier nonconformities, customer complaints and customer returns.
2.7 Serve as coordinator of the internal audit process.
2.8 Quantify and analyze relevant data relating to Heiden’s quality policy and objectives (i.e., customer feedback, nonconforming product, internal audit results, supplier performance, quality costs, etc.) and provide mechanisms for reporting data to top management. Identify trends and implement appropriate continuous improvement projects.
2.9 Promote quality awareness and importance of meeting customer requirements throughout the organization.
2.10 Identify organizational quality-related training needs and ensure appropriate training is provided.
2.11 Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
