The Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is seeking a Capital Projects Manager for its Division of Transportation Engineering (DTE). This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of multimodal travel in the County. The Capital Projects Manager is responsible for the planning and design of transportation infrastructure projects, with a focus on transit facilities and services. DTE is responsible for planning, engineering, and constructing Montgomery County's infrastructure. DTE is currently engaged in growing and improving Montgomery County's Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network. The County just opened its first BRT line on US 29 known as Flash. Planning, design, and implementation of additional corridors are underway and this position would be actively involved.

Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will have experience in the technical aspects of a large-scale transportation project including: traffic signal systems, transit technologies, traffic modeling, ridership forecasting, transit operations, station design and access, civil infrastructure, and permitting. |
