Our Program Manager for the Hazardous Waste Permits and Support Unit works remotely to manage the day to day functions of the unit. This unit is responsible for the permitting of hazardous waste Treatment Storage and Disposal Facilities (aka TSDF’s) in the state of Arizona. In addition this unit also approves Pollution Prevention Plans (aka P2 plans), Recycling or Sustainability support, and all aspects related to Data Management of Hazardous Waste Generators, Transporters, and TSDF’s. You will also be responsible for supervising staff including assigning work, setting priorities, monitoring and evaluating performance, developing and providing training.

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental management, environmental or chemical engineering, biology, hydrology, or other environmental discipline
3-5 years of environmental experience in a regulatory agency, consulting, or private industry
2 years of supervisory experience
