The leading Architecture role for the Financial Crime & Fraud Portfolio within Risk Technology.
Lead solution design, solution delivery, date lineage and governance for existing and new solutions for ANZâ€™s Financial Crime and Fraud functions.
Collaborate closely with multiple Business Units, Tribes, Technology Domains and Tech Area Architects to drive and socialise the future state of the architecture and solutions across the broader bank.
About The Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC 3008 Role Type: Permanent, Full-time About the role: As the Technology Area Architect (TAA) supporting the Financial Crime & Fraud Portfolio, you will be accountable (in conjunction with the relevant Domain Architect and relevant other TAAs ) for designing the architecture to support both our existing technology solutions supporting ANZâ€™s Financial Crime and Fraud obligations, and new initiatives to uplift our technical capabilities and offering to our business partners in this space. Our Financial Crime solutions support AML, Sanctions, Customer Risk Management, and Intelligence functions, while our Fraud solutions support monitoring and preventing card, payments, identity, credit application, and institutional fraud against ANZ customers. This role involves assessing customer experience and outcomes and designing and recommending solution options and architectures to meet these needs, along with understanding how these solution s impact our businesses and our Technology Governance responsibilities. A key focus will be driving data, automation and best practise, as well as transition of ANZ platforms to Cloud, across this portfolio in ANZ. Your key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring designs are appropriate and fit for purpose to meet our regulatory obligations.
Assessing ideas considering value proposition, possible solution options and T-shirt sizing.
Collaboratively defining and documenting solution overviews across all impacted Technology Areas.
Partnering with key non-Tech groups to ensure designs support and enhance business processes and allow straightforward operationalisation of solutions.
Managing complex dependencies across Products, Epics and Solution components, promoting reuse and driving overall simplification.
Working with the Architecture Centre of Excellence to develop and support the use of architectural guard rails â€" patterns, principles, reference models etc.
Work with other TAAs to develop integration models, data flows, and understand security control requirements
Developing a detailed understanding of the functional and non-functional requirements of our business partners.
In addition to change and remediation work within the Portfolio, consulting to various groups across the enterprise regarding new technologies and their implications from a Financial Crime and Fraud perspective.
Actively participating and providing architecture consulting in the continuous delivery pipeline.
Demonstrating a keen interest in emerging technologies and scanning the market for tech opportunities which can assist in delivering better customer value.
Adhering to, participating in and promoting Domain Architecture governance processes to ensure sustainable and consistent program solutions are developed and endorsed.
About you: As the Technology Area Architect, you will ideally bring the following key attributes, capabilities, and experience:
Can demonstrate a strong systems thinking approach for end to end solutions, having designed complex, cross-tribe solutions to deliver an improved customer and banker experience.
Deep knowledge in ANZâ€™s current technology roadmaps, preferably those that support the Risk business, and ability to create roadmaps that meet business needs.
Demonstrated cloud solution architecture or design experience, preferably on GCP but other platforms (AWS, Azure) also acceptable.
Ability to influence, collaborate and negotiate with cross-tribe stakeholders to inform their decision making and achieve the best outcome for customers
Strong negotiation skills to influence cross-tribe stakeholders to design and plan end to end solutions.
An understanding of the regulatory and compliance framework in which the bank operates.
Strong skills in building collaborative relationships with stakeholders to understand their business and technology needs (current and future).
Good communicator and problem solver that can understand and translate business needs into strategic technology roadmaps and architectural principles
You will also have following specialised skills:
Experience working with Agile, Lean and/or Continuous Delivery approaches.
Experience designing Enterprise solutions with inherent complexity.
Highly regarded: Expertise in the Financial Crime or Fraud domains.
