CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provides engineering support in areas of assignment. Provides technical support to peers as they operate, troubleshoot, and maintain distribution, substation, and related facilities at generation sites. Specific responsibilities include developing preventative maintenance schedules and procedures, conducting analysis, design and completion of engineering assignments associated with electrical engineering, supervising consulting services, and creating/updating specifications associated with substation equipment. Leads small to medium projects with minimal guidance. Consistent and reliable attendance is required. - Performs and coordinates the planning, maintenance, analysis, construction, integration, installation, operation, and optimization of critical operational systems and applications associated with substation, transmission, and distribution.
- Reviews and analyzes equipment test results, problems and failures and makes specifications for alterations to improve equipment reliability and reduce failure rates.
- Assembles and retains records needed for maintenance of substation equipment in order to remain in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assists in creating specifications and evaluating bids for substation maintenance and distribution transformer equipment to ensure maintenance reliability, standardization, and quality.
- Implements and maintains LES engineering standards, standard materials, specifications, policies, procedures and guidelines for LES systems and applications.
- Prepares and presents reports with justification and documentation in recommending courses of action for capital improvement projects, asset management strategies, standards, maintenance procedures, work methods, materials, and guidelines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
