Job Summary: | The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin - Madison, School of Medicine & Public Health is seeking a Database Report Writer to help with the department's data mining and analysis needs. The successful candidate will support all of the informatics and data needs for Radiology's clinical, research and education projects and requests.

Responsibilities: | Assesses, designs, implements, and maintains databases, data warehouses, and data models needed to support analysis and reporting. Provides advanced operational support and develops and facilitates training. - 20% Leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of appropriate data warehouses needed to support analysis and reporting

- 5% Serves as a subject matter expert to unit and institutional leadership on data warehousing, database application programs, and automated procedures and reporting
- 10% Implements and tests complex data warehousing tools and data models

- 10% Leads collaboration with other IT professionals in the development of appropriate data warehousing design guidelines and effective use of tools for building and managing data models for data warehouses
- 5% Leads the design, development, and management of data models for data warehouses
- 15% Assesses business requirements, coordinates detailed technical reviews of programs and data models, determines appropriate strategy, and prepares oral and/or written reports

Education: | Preferred Bachelor's Degree |
Qualifications: | A minimum of three years of database development experience is required with specific medical information systems experience preferred.
Experience with database design and reporting using Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL server is required.
Experience with clinical imaging tools like PACS, Powerscribe, DICOM or HL7 required.
1-2 years of business intelligence/analytics and data visualization experience with SharePoint, QlikView, Power BI or similar software preferred.
Software development experience, especially with Python or Ruby on Rails is preferred. |

Salary: | Minimum $70,100 ANNUAL (12 months) Depending on Qualifications Salary is negotiable and will be based on experience and skills.
