The Personal Genetics Education Project (pgEd.org) seeks motivated individuals to expand public engagement efforts on genetics. pgEd is working towards a future where everyone is aware about the personal, family, and social impacts of genetic advances, so people are better prepared to speak up, ask questions, and make informed decisions for themselves and their communities.The Public Engagement Associate’s primary role will be to plan and facilitate forums that bring people together for conversations about genetics – from health to ancestry testing and from the environment to the criminal justice system.
