SAI, a growing electronic contract manufacturer located in Carlsbad is seeking an experienced Component Engineer. The Component Engineer will be responsible for product lifecycle management and work closely with purchasing and engineering departments ensuring the availability of suitable components required to manufacture customer products. Responsibilities: · Selects, qualifies, approves, documents, and manages purchased components and direct material required for manufacturing. · Analyzes and qualifies interchangeable parts from sources outside the organization. · Finds alternate components for discontinued/obsolete components. · Maintains great working relationships with vendors and suppliers
