Primary Responsibilities HDR is currently seeking a Civil Engineer - Railroad to join our Freight Railroad Team in Omaha, Nebraska. The primary duties of the Civil Engineer - Railroad are to: Serve in a technical role under a Project Manager. Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for railroad track and civil projects for private and public-sector clients. Civil and railroad design tasks may include project layout, geometrics, site, drainage, and utilities, calculating quantities, reviewing construction submittals, and coordination with other disciplines. Work independently as a project engineer on small- to mid-sized projects and assist senior engineers on larger projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Pa
