Consulting Engineer (Project Development Programs)
The successful candidate will have an extensive understanding of transportation planning, engineering, and the transportation project development process. This position will actively manage the Project Development Program within the Transportation and Public Works Department and lead the development of projects in the Austin Strategic Mobility Plan and Street Impact Fee Program. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are ideal: Knowledge of the state-of-the-practice including NACTO’s Transit Street Design Guide, Urban Street Design Guide, Urban Bikeway Design Guide; AASHTO’s Guide for the Development of Bicycle Facilities and Guide for the Planning, Design, and Operation of Pedestrian Facilities; TMUTCD; and relevant City/Capital Metro planning do
