Advanced Functional Biomaterials for Reproductive Pharmacology
A new postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Professor Todd Giorgio in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Vanderbilt University (VU).  This collaborative project will include the laboratory of Professor Jennifer Herington (models of preterm birth, Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC)) and an industrial partner (fabrication of drug conjugates).  We will conduct exciting studies that will advance at a rapid pace to characterize the performance of new materials and methods to suppress the uterine contractions that lead to preterm birth.  The Giorgio laboratory is focused on interdisciplinary research that involves advanced functional materials applied to unmet medical needs in women’s health.  (
