The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Wayne State has 9 tenure-track faculty and 2 teaching faculty, with an NAE member and over $2.1M in annual research expenditure. The Department is home to one of the top programs in the country for Injury Biomechanics. The Department offers an ABET accredited B.S. degree; several M.S. degree programs (traditional and online), including an M.S. in Injury Biomechanics; a Graduate Certificate in Injury Biomechanics; and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Imaging. Currently, we have approximately 130 undergraduate students, 45 M.S. and 25 Ph.D. students.
