The Deputy Chief Mechanical Officer, New Car Program is responsible for the successful acquisition of new rail vehicles. The incumbent further identifies, acquires, plans, and manages each functional resource needed to execute a new vehicle through all phases of its lifecycle and ensure all new rail vehicles are designed & validated to operate within the Authority’s operating environment and infrastructure. Manages and coordinates the overall development and completion of new vehicle projects and enhancements from conceptualization to revenue operation, including project schedules and cost; planning, designing, systems engineering, procurement, contract close-outs, and systems testing.
