The Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Sciences is dedicated to health and safety in the workplace. Our mission is to promote wellness and prevent disease and disability among working Oregonians. We fulfill our mission through basic and applied research, education, and outreach.   The Institute, a unit within Oregon Health & Science University, is comprised of over 75 individuals including faculty, research staff, outreach professionals, post-docs, and administrators, all working together to prevent illness and disease and promote healthy workplaces in Oregon and beyond. Base funding for the Institute is provided by the Oregon's Workers' Compensation system.
