Position Introduction The Department of Drama at Vassar College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in Acting beginning Fall 2023.

Position Description An MFA in Acting or Performance is required for this position and successful candidates will be able to teach beginning and advanced acting classes. Successful candidates will also have expertise in one or more of the following areas and would be able to teach courses in those specialties: devised theatre, solo performance, comedy or clowning, improv, games, mask work, or Alexander Technique. Duties include, but are not limited to, teaching 5 courses each year, mentoring student actors, participating in the Vassar College Experimental Theater season, and attending production meetings. A demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching is required.
