Position IntroductionThe Department of Film at Vassar College invites applications for a half-time Adjunct Assistant Professor in Film Production for the 2022-23 academic year.

Position DescriptionThe Vassar Film Department is seeking an adjunct faculty member for the next academic year (22-23) to teach three courses in video production. This is a half-time position that offers competitive salary and benefits. Candidates must have experience teaching video production at the college level, preferably in the context of a liberal arts institution. An MFA degree is also strongly preferred. The successful candidate will teach
FILM324 Cinema Modes in the fall semester and two courses in the spring:
FILM241 Sound & Sight and another course based on the candidate's interest and expertise. All classes are taught in person. Candidates should be able to teach the full scope of video production from concept to final delivery, including the technical aspects of production (camera, sound, lighting) and post-production (using Adobe Premiere). We welcome applications from candidates in local communities, the Hudson Valley, or farther afield.
